On March 5, 2021, H.B. 727 was introduced which would provide doula services for pregnant women who are Medicaid members. The Bill required the development of a State Plan Amendment to be submitted to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Doula services would be provided at a minimum reimbursement rate of $500 for labor and delivery, $800 for prenatal and labor and delivery, and $100 for prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum doula services. These rates would reassessed yearly.
